About Lindsay

IMG_7483Lindsay is a Licensed Professional Counselor- Supervisor with a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology. She is also credentialed as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and has received EMDRIA-approved EMDR training. Lindsay works with clients using concepts primarily from the theoretical framework known as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, but branches out to incorporate effective methods from other theories as well. Lindsay encourages clients to keep looking ahead to their desired future, rather than leaving them feeling lost in their past. Practical tools and approaches are used, and clients can begin implementing some techniques right away.

Lindsay worked for a thriving nonprofit agency for eleven years, and now works full time at a behavioral health outpatient clinic within a major hospital network. She opened her part-time private practice in Fort Worth in 2015. She works with individuals, couples, and families to address concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, substance use or addiction, grief, trauma, deficiencies in anger management, relationship struggles, poor work or school performance, and parent-child difficulties, among others. The reasons a person might seek counseling are numerous, and the potential benefits to receiving counseling are endless.

Although Lindsay has experience working with all age groups and has addressed and treated a wide variety of concerns, a large portion of her time in nonprofit work was spent counseling adolescents. It was there that Lindsay noticed how parents of adolescents would speak so hopefully with regard to their child. They just knew their child could change and improve. Lindsay has found that adults tend to speak this way when referring to children and teens, but seem far less hopeful when describing their own situation, or that of another adult in their life. Lindsay aims to remind everyone- regardless of age or past experiences- that there is always hope and it is never too late. Change is possible, and with self-examination and a new way of looking at life, these changes are often achieved.
